World Championships

I was just wondering if people are interested in having more World Champ Tournies. With games other than just 8b, 9b, snooker.....

We have cowboy wc coming up soon and then 9bwc. What would u like to see after that?

Straight Pool would be cool.
Though actually I think the 3 "big" ones are enough, especially on a regular basis.

I voted for Honolulu, but like Cribbage or 3 Cushion as much.

Call it World Championships or don't...
I like tournaments that are played with long distances over a long period of time.

I'm looking forward to the new tourney system and hope some day they will be double elim.

Defenitely 3 Cushion.
We have pool and snooker, so before there will be another pool thing the carambol part should be integrated as well imho

sure fritz, but lets start with one-cushion than, because there would not be so many sign-ups for three-cushion i think.

The 1 cushion option sounds the best. I voted Honolulu but would also play Straight or Cribbage.

I would take part in any event with longer matches. I personaly prefer 3 cushion to 1 cushion but I agree it would attract less players coz it's hard to play. But so is honolulu anyway (the one I voted for).
I'd propose that we try to do all games in alternance with one of the bigger games (snook pub 9b).
And I agree that straight pool has to be as well. Imagine the final to 5 games of 100 points or something like that... That would be great imo

ty for your responses, i honestly didnt think that many people would choose straight pool lol i agree maybe we shouldnt call it world champ but it will be done in the same fashion with long matches etc.

We havent had a big 1c or 3c tourny lately so maybe i will do that next. Followed by honolulu. After the cowboy and 9b of course ;)

The problem with Honolulu might be the fact that you have to call shots all the time, people (me at least) might not want to play it in long races.

1 Cushion
Honolulu
3 Cushion

I'd probably take part in a "World Championship" of any of the games within VP3, its all good fun.

Personally I think the best choice at this stage would be 1 cushion. It would catch the interest of many players who have rarely if ever played billiards and it is not as tough as 3 cushion. Then perhaps when players become more accustomed to the intricacies of the game it might be a better time for a 3 cushion "World Championship".

we are having a cowboy wc soon so i wouldnt want to do a cowboy carlo tourny wc yet. I think 1 cushion is the best choice right now. I wont get too far ahead of myself on what will be after that, who knows we may be playing a dif pool game by then :) but if were not its honolulu. Sorry Fritz lol

i think sharkey is right, it doesnt make sence if you set up world championships in any game type.

I think there are only 4 game types, which should called 'world championship':

1. 9-Ball
2. 8-Ball
3 Straight Pool
4. Snooker

Any other types should be called different.
