Glitch with camera in VP4?

Post by papagaya »

Hi, bug-man here!

The camera makes a strange "jump" when using parellel english. While applying the effect the camera moves in the same direction and then, right after making the shot, returns to its original position abruptly making a "jump".

Please fix it because currently you can't view correctly the trajectory of the shot.

Seems more like a feature than a bug. But it could be removed, not very good looking camerajump. Just make vp4 not to "reset" the view to the centre of the cueball (more accurately View Center) after the contact.

Seems that it is at first when the view is aligned with the cue (logical) and later it changes to the center of the ball making that jump. The other two methods do not give that problem.

I don't think it is a feature. The solution would be as simple as do not changing the view, keeping it aligned with the cue, wich is the logical thing for the parallel method.

- Legacy. Aligned to the center of the ball (same as VP3).
- Parallel. Aligned with the cue.
- Pivot. A kind of hybrid mode.

So, is a bug? a feature?

Will there be a quick update about the corrected errors or do you save it for a bigger update?

There will be an update, I'm not sure what quick means to you. I intend to do it as soon as I get certain things corrected.

"Quick" would be two weeks, I think :-)
