Problems

Since I ever downloaded the app I have never been able to play online with friends. I have created an online user when first going to Online and gave the EXACT id to a mate and he can never mind me.. This still remains the case even on the latest version(v1.99)
Also, the release prior to this displayed blank apponents when playing online, but now I have v1.99 everyone I play is iPod4.
Is there anything I can do to fix any of the above?
Any help would be ace, love the game!
