Snooker Hawk-Eye

I don't know how many people have been watching the BBC's coverage of the Snooker World Championships, but they make use of a Snooker version of the infamous Hawk-Eye system. Most of the time this is used to create a 'virtual camera' that can give a player's-eye view when obviously the real camera would be unable to, but occasionally it is used to show how a shot would have played out if it weren't for a bad contact/kick. I'm wondering who wrote the physics for these simulations - since VP3 is the best simulator on the market, were Celeris involved in writing this engine?
