In-game-movies on a black screen

Since a long time I decided to play a new career.
Normally you get a movie as intro and between the wins over a boss.
This time I heared what the guy said but the screen remained black. Also after the movie I did not get the normal game mode back.
Recently I use the VLC-video player. When I try to run the movies outside the game everything works fine but the screen goes black within the game.
Also recently I use an AMD Radeon HD 6800 graphical card and a monitor from LG : Flatron IPS 235.

Any help?

Hi,
I had the same problem years ago because I used VLC and thus had not installed the codecs like divx and xvid (don't know which one). Try installing a Megacodecpack of some sort (codecguide.com/download_mega.htm), the basic install should do great.

Thanks, but no it doesn't work. I installed the megocodepack from the site you recommended, but the problem is still the same.

I cant remember what it is you need to do,but i had the same problem and Steve Chaplin has a post somewhere on this forum or maybe it was the old forum telling you what you need to do in order to fix it.

If i remember right it was a simple instruction and i tried it and it worked for me.

I he reads this post im sure he will give you the instruction again.

After some searching I found the post you was talking about:

I found out that Format factory caused the problem and uninstalled it.
