Virtual Snooker Maintour

Post by M-aster_1989_de »

hi all,

i had the idea of creating a virtual snooker maintour, with nearly all tournaments and real distances and ranking points.

i would host them with one or two TDs who want to help me.
there will be a ranking, too.

implemeted tourneys would be:

1. Virtual Northern Ireland Trophy
2. Virtual UK Championship
3. Virtual Malta Cup
4. Virtual Welsh Open
5. Virtual World Championship

Now the time schedule:

week 01-03: break (3 weeks)
week 04-09: Virtual northern ireland trophy (6 weeks)
week 10-13: break (4 weeks)
week 14-19: Virtual UK Championship (6 weeks)
week 20-23: break (4 weeks)
week 24-29: Virtual Malta Cup (6 weeks)
week 30-33: break (4 weeks)
week 34-39: Virtual Welsh Open (6 weeks)
week 40-43: break (4 weeks)
week 44-48: Virtual World Championship (5 weeks)
week 49-52: break (4 weeks)

i look forward to your comments, criticism, accolade and suggestions.
Oh Well!

best regards
Marc

maybe it will be possible for me to award the main tour winner with a goblet with the inscription:

Virtual World Snooker Main Tour Winner 2007

[Player's name]
Oh Well!

I think that it's a good idea basically. Feels a bit strange to copy the names of the tournament when those names have nothing to do with where we are playing. Also Hugh has talked about something similar to this i beleive. with virtual earnings and stuff. And he does the Virtual WC every year, so maybe you two can collaborate on this? I'd play though and I think it's a good idea and I like the goblet touch.

of course we can (and i think we will) work together, because hugh has so much experience with hosting tournaments first and foremost with big tournaments.

But not spell....well I can't find 'arios' in a dictionary.

I found an 'Arius' a sort of genuis priest, but something tells me that's not it!

I suppose you are right at least there...
Although sometimes I'm wondering if [Rom]ARIO and [Albin]ARIO.. are some kind of genius priests...

I say we call in columbo :chin:
people need to learn "its a game , and a game by definition can be either won or lost .
If you take away the ability to win or lose you are no longer playing a game and your time is not spent challenging your skill over another's instead your time is now worthless and wasted.

Oops, ...talk about missing the point, big time......

Too much lateral thinking..or maybe not enough.

I have been problem solving all week too!
