Player name

I recently had to exchange my iPhone 4. The microphone was broken.
Before I did the exchange I took a backup using iTunes.
After restore to the new phone many applications kept their settings.
In VP Online I had to create a new player name. It wouldn't remember my old nick (yes.. zwylle) and wouldn't let me pick it either.
It would be nice if the name could be saved in a way that it get's backed up / restored when needed.
