Nugget wrote:Yes, so basically have two options available for the TDs:

1. Let players form their own partnerships
2. Randomly create pairing when the fixtures are created

When allowing players to form their own partnerships, one of the players will sign-up, adding both players. The other player using the system will then confirm that they are a member of the partnership.
you have to be careful with too many new features and too many tournaments, because then you have every day a league-match or a team-match, and the fun will be smaller and smaller.
Oh Well!

I guess that's up to the TDs, not to Nugget... All that is needed is a vast choice of options...
Another idea linked to my previous one: it should be nice to have a link or a disclosable box with the ratings of the particular game a tourney plays with, on the fixture page and also in the tournament history.

I don't want to include too many options otherwise it'll never get done. I'll probably release something with not that many options to start with but works; and then release another version with enhancements in the next release.

I have another suggestion for the TDs,when finishing off a tournament the system should have the full text available to post in the lobby about who won the match and who lost the match rather than having the Td typing in the losers name. The system should be able to recognise both finalists, and is it possible to implement this.

Yes, I was just being lazy when I initially wrote that bit of code.

When the fixtures are drawn, you added a cool feature showing 'head to head' scores. The only thing is, is that it dissapears after the tournament ends as it is moved to the tournament history.

Can we keep the 'head to head' scores and show them in tournament history?

This topic was created on January 16, 2007.

I guess a decent suggestion would be to remove the whole thread, it's pointless obviously.

I'd like to be proven wrong though.

Id suggest that the likleyhood of a new tournament system is about as likely as England winning the world cup this summer.....slim.

If all goes accoring to plan and theres a fully functional tournament system on the Celeris server then Id ask who is still prepared to fund the current system?
Or would many tournament players move to vp4?....or play tourneys in vp3 or both.

And is there any point in me actually posting this?

I'd probably play both vp3 and vp4 until I decide which system I prefer (oh, and until the bugs in vp4 are ironed out).. I don't think there will be many players who will shell out to play vp4 straightaway, though there aint many who play vp3 tourneys either ...

I'll just wait and see, :)

Who wouldnt shell out to pay for vp4?
Hopefully not only old players will pay immediately, but hundreds of millions of new players as well when they hear there's a NEW pool game out.
It will be crowded!
