ERROR improperly asking for serial #

My VP3 is installed on only one computer -- the same computer it was originally installed on -- and has never been installed elsewhere. Yet I am suddenly being asked to enter my serial number, and then I get a message that it is invalid. PLEASE FIX. (I sent two email messages to the "support" address but received no reply.)
