Does anyone know the solution to the flickering VP4 issue

I'm running VP4 on windows 7 - I have the latest update and whenever I run it in fullscreen mode, it works fine until you press esc and view a menu screen.
So 3/4 mins into a game if you press esc all the text on the screen begins to flicker, words/letters missing etc...

I'm pretty sure it's a graphics card / setup issue.

Does anyone know of a solution?

Incidentally it works perfectly in desktop mode so can still play the game - but would really like full screen to be reliable.

Never seen this before.
What is your video card?
Have you installed the latest drivers?
Have you tried changing VP4 graphics settings, for example turn vertical sync on and see if that changes anything?

Yes tried with and without vertical sync.

I am running it off a windows partition on a macbook pro but I shouldn't think that would matter much. Any one else running VP4 like this? does it work for you?

Another example - this is the problem at it's worse - the game becomes pretty much unplayable

There is an issue with some Intel drivers.
On my Samsung ultrabook with HD 3000 I have texture issues in tournaments maps, but nothing as bad.
I'd try a different driver.

The Macbook itself should work with VP4.
On my 2007 Macbook Pro with NVidia chip VP4 runs perfectly smooth on the Windows partition.

VP4 should run fine on an Intel HD 4000. The chip is certainly capable enough.
I would try updating the driver, Intel is known for having issues with graphics drivers.

Updated the drivers for the Graphics card and that seems to have fixed it!! thanks for your help
