VP4 don't work~~

My problem:

Each time start VP4 shows "Preference data damanged. Restoring default user preferences."

Input seral said "Register succeed!" then blank windows, no sound, nothing, then programme error.

Start VP4 again, I have to register another time, but this time show " The software is already registered on another computer. You may transfer the software registration to another computer. This will invalidate the registrantion on your old computer." BUT, I only run VP4 on one computer!

I have already transfer my seral 3 times, the last 4 digits changed from AD05 to AF05, when i press "transfer", it said "Permissible license transfers exceeded. Contatct support@celers.com"

HELP ME!

update of 1.0.5 did not fix the problem, VP4 still not work on my computer. just turn form black screen to white screen.

just wondering mate, have you tried updating your graphics drivers or downloading windows updates and whatnot? it has solved problems for me in the past, not necessarily with Virtual Pool, but other problems. .

also.... now this probably won't work because this was a fix with another program and since its not a common issue it probably wont work with you, but I;ll run it by you anyway. If you trying to install from the desktop or a download folder.. try placing the the VP4 installation file on the C: and install from there. Like I say, this was a fix for an installation problem for another program some years ago, so its probably not a fix here, but worth trying?

This looks like an issue with a codec. Unfortunately on Windows other things external to VP4 can cause problems. We have had users that had to uninstall K-Lite codec pack. Try uninstalling that or any other codec pack you have installed.

I have a similar problem. nvd3dum.dll (Nvidia Geforce FX5500 main driver) makes the game crash at the start. Unfortunately I use the latest stable drivers available, so impossible for me to fix the issue with updated ones. I guess my GC simply doesn't support that game.

and yes i did updated graphics dirver, my dirver verson is 8.17.13.142, release date was 2012.5.15. and instilled all windows7 update right after re-install it(not all, language update only install english package, and not insall english is ok, i just install it try to fix VP4 probrom)

i also play some other game, such as Test Drive Unlimited 3, Sniper Elite 2, Assassin's Creed III, etc. and those game run ok on my computer.

If you are getting a "Can't Initialize 3D hardware..." error, then that would be the case.

If you are getting a "Can't Initialize 3D hardware..." error, then that would be the case.

I've got no error, just a crash with nvd3dum.dll. I've uninstalled k-lite codec pack as well, but to no avail.

This may be another problem then. Do this:


Right click on the desktop shortcut and select Properties, then the Shortcut tab. In target append this:
-debug5
This should go after the ending quote in the short cue with a space between the quote and -debug5
Run VP4, after it crashes send me that message.log file, instructions below on #2

"Your desktop doesn't meet the minimum specification of 1024x768 at 16 bits color. Please change your desktop to meet these requirements" (btw im on 1920x1080 at 32bits...)
Then i get :
"Initialization failed... Aborting"

I disabled the AV, updated DirectX and my nvidia drivers, uninstalled K-Lite.... Still the same problem..

Here is the message log i get when running with -debug5 :
