We are working on Android. Very difficult platform to work with. We do have VP running on it but who knows how long to get around all the device compatibility problems.

Virtual Pool mobile would be an amazing seller on Android.

I have the Samsung Galaxy S, and Virtual Pool would look amazing on this Smartphone.

Is it due anytime soon ?

Interesting topic, and I am also looking forward to VP on my Android someday.

Now if I could only find a decent Golf game for it... :-#

Got a Samsung Galaxy S now after Mrs Bagpuss bought one and swapped it for my Wave. So bring on the 'droid version!

As for mobile games, these days high res screens, decent mobile GPUs and operating systems means that they at least rival the kind of simulation VP3 offered at the time of its release at the turn of the century. Anyone who refutes that hasn't obviously played a decent 480x800 phone game on a top-end device. As long as the UI is adapted to suit, the processors can cope with the physics etc. Smaller screen is the only real disadvantage but mobility and accessibility makes up for that.

The information on Celeris website regarding supported list of games is truncated - it say "6 Pool Games: 8-Ball, 9-Ball, Straight Pool, ..." and Android Market description does not have the list of supported games at all. That is an essential information, which is one of the primary criteria to determine level of interest in the game...

I see market description has been updated. Too bad Snooker is not one of the available games :please: Until it's added - count me out on this one.

Snooker probably won't be there until VP4 gets ported to Android

Hi there

Finally I saw today the great news that my favourite mobile game has at last come to my HTC Desire. At a massive 27mb it's a large download and so I had to uninstall a load of big apps (like google maps) so that it would fit on the internal storage card during installation - fully expecting to be able to transfer it across to the SD card afterwards. So I bought & downloaded it (leaving a mere 2 mb to spare). Then I realised - there's no install to SD card option!! The phone had no internal space left on it so I had no option but to uninstall and get a refund. Really disappointed!

Will a future update allow transfer to SD card? My money is here and waiting!

Cheers

It should install on the SD card. That was the whole purpose of using the new Google licensing because it supports SD card.
I think our manifest for the application is not specifying the correct attributes so we need to update that. Unfortunately the programmer is on Holiday in Scotland and won't be back for another week.
When he gets back we will get this corrected.

Any update on this?
Would really like to move the app to SD card to free up space....
