Re: Glove - perfect for VP players?

I am a bit confused. You write about the glove for Virtual Pool players, but you also write about real life tournaments. What kind of glove is that, that you use both in real life and in VP? I cannot imagine how you use that in VP, where you normally use a mouse and a keyboard.... :ditto: VP player...

Re: Glove - perfect for VP players?

Since I started with the glove here are my results in real life tournaments (normally I never win). 1st place 3rd place 1st place When I got 3rd place I became ill during tournament. Throat pain, fever and runny nose. Lost 10 straight games, never happened before. If I wasn't incapacitated by illnes...

Re: Glove - perfect for VP players?

I always used to miss hard long shots, but with the Glove + White Diamond cue tip I don't miss them anymore, I get an accuracy and speed boost so it feels like cheating! It improves skill but has no feel just like in VP. There is really no trade-off at all, because VP players are already used to thi...

Glove - perfect for VP players?

I bought a glove 15 years ago. My hands don't sweat so I didn't use it much. I used it once or twice and didn't appreciate it. But now after 15 years of VP playing the glove is like a miracle! Everything was better, more consistent with better speed control! I was playing really bad without the glov...

Re: Techniques to scare opponent into losing

Poison case comfortability This case fits like a glove! Especially on the right shoulder because the little carrying handle presses against the back, I don't need to hold it with my right arm, both arms become available! On the left side it fits good but sometimes falls off. Lets test this. Shoppin...

Re: Techniques to scare opponent into losing

Observation #4 I was sitting on the train. A kid walked in and sat diagonally in front of me. He turned his head and glanced at my case and his head was turning away, then his head quickly swung back at my case and his eyes widened with shock and fear, it was the strangest look I have ever seen. I a...

Illegal or not?

Example #1 (intentional) You take out a jar of coconut oil and dip your finger in it, you lubricate the insides of the pocket to reduce friction so the ball doesn't rattle in the jaws. You go to shoot and the 9-ball glides in easily. Example #2 (not intentional) You eat a cheeseburger and have greas...

Re: White Diamond tip - perfect for VP players!

I see the future. All players will use two playing cues, one with a hard phenolic tip, and the other with a soft tip only for spin shots. They already have dedicated jump cues, so why not dedicated spin cues? Maybe with a rubber tip.

Re: Techniques to scare opponent into losing

Ok, today I received the Poison case and entered subway station. Observation #1 Black gang member walked by me, after he saw the Poison logo on my case, his eyes widened and were full of fear! Observation #2 Old lady sat next to me on the train. She looked down on my case and then up at me, then loo...

Re: Different cue needs for VP players

I'm playing real pool twice per week, and the OB-2 shaft (11.75mm) is the best. It's surprisingly easy to switch between real life and VP4 because OB-2 has almost the same deflection as the Tiger Pro X (11.75 mm) and look equally thick to give the same aiming. "Parallel English" aiming is ...

White Diamond tip - perfect for VP players!

This White Diamond is a break tip, but I use it for my playing shaft (OB-2), thanks to Seyberts for installing it, normally they don't offer this tip for playing cues, so I had to e-mail them first. Today I received the new shaft together with Kamui 0.98 chalk. I have a Moori Hard on my older OB-2 s...

Dirty balls and humidity - worst enemy

I aimed like in vp4, I missed the balls by a full diamond. I went out of the pool hall, it was raining outside. Lots of humidity. In vp4 it's necessary to overcut every ball when practicing, otherwise you miss them in real life. I have been playing wrong all along, I always hit too thick, but I need...

Re: Different cue needs for VP players

Ok, now I have played twice within a week period, I like thin shaft better now.

I measured my Meucci again, it's 11.5mm with pro taper. It's very hard to measure. Maybe even 11.4mm. Looks like toothpick. When I use spin I'm afraid it will crack in half. I need to shoot very soft with it.

Re: Different cue needs for VP players

I would say a 12.75mm Low Deflection shaft is perfect for VP players. Like Predator, Tiger or OB shafts.
The 11.75 Low Deflection shafts are only for those who play real pool twice a week.

Different cue needs for VP players

If you practice every day in VP and sometimes play tournaments in real life, the cue you need will be completely different. If you play real life pool many times a week, a thin shaft is better. But if you don't play often, you will miss simple shots, so a fat shaft is more forgiving. Many pros use a...

Re: Annoying problem or bug in VP4 (+POSSIBLE SOLUTION)

I re-installed windows 7, installed vp4 again, together with the new patch. The delay problem is gone! I don't need to use Fraps anymore. I get an instant hit with mouse on cueball, no lag or delay. But I still can't enable vsync in Catalyst Control Center, I have it at "Always on" and it ...

Re: Annoying problem or bug in VP4 (+POSSIBLE SOLUTION)

I upgraded my graphics card from Geforce 550 Ti into Radeon HD 7950. It didn't fix the delay problem. It got worse now. I can't enable vsync! With other games the vsync works but not in vp4. If I enable vsync within vp4, it gives horrible delay when stroking the mouse. I have tried all settings for ...

New mouse settings are great! Real life speed control!

I just downloaded the new patch. I set Razer Mamba to 2800 dpi, VP4 mouse sensitivity to 2. Then I changed the advanced settings to: Velocity Average, 1/4th sec, 2ms. Everything is very smooth. I can control cueball speed like never before, for the first time it feels like real life speed control! I...

Way to go Patrick, genius at work! Can you record some rotation or 8ball first person racks? Would love to see you get obstacles out of the way, play safeties (and try to get out of them), etc. Keep it up, best instructional videos I can think of, just watching you play. Thanks. I can record some 8...

Revealing my secret wonder drug to increase skill

After I started taking them, skill increased by double and I can concentrate longer without eyes feeling tired and blurry. Without them I'm nearly blind! The only side effect is, if I stop taking them, a couple days later my eyes hurt and I get a huge headache and collapse on the floor. It feels lik...
