Cues Information
Steve, do you have any information regarding the possibility of altering the ingame cues and/or making new ones. I have managed to skin newly created cues, but I would like to know if there is a way to change the size of the cues, eg. thickness/length. Also, would you have any documentation on the o...

VP3 Integration for IP-IP matches
Hi, Is there a way that I can launch VP3 to automatically connect two players via their IPs, the way that GSA does it. We occassionally have problems with the GSA servers going down, so we all start playing IP-IP. I am thinking of knocking up something simple that we can all use to join games via IP...

Re: Suggestions for new tournament system required
I'd probably play both vp3 and vp4 until I decide which system I prefer (oh, and until the bugs in vp4 are ironed out).. I don't think there will be many players who will shell out to play vp4 straightaway, though there aint many who play vp3 tourneys either ...
I'll just wait and see, :)

Re: i want more tourneys!
I'll second what shaz says tho... We setup a tourney and 90% of the time we are lucky to get 6 signups... Either that or we get shite from people complaining that we a creating the wrong tourneys... Unfortunately, there are only a couple of tourney types that people will play, namely Snooker, 8 Ball...

Cue skins
Steve, Do you have any details on the way skins for the cues are handled by vp3 that you can give me. Mainly regarding installing them so that they can be used by vp3.. I'm intending to write an all-in-one cue designer and installer, mainly for something to do, but there has been an increase in othe...

Nice to see it getting an update.. Do you have a spec list with the details of what is going to be added? Or is it an adhoc update to vphq? It'd be nice to see what extra bits are going to be added.. :)

Re: Tournament System
I think making a backup of the database regularly would be a good idea in case of problems like this in the future. I assume that you already have the site source backed up, so atleast if it does go down again, then we could always host elsewhere temporarily/permanently.

I *will* get round to reinstalling Windows7 I promise, :) Someone else has used it on Win7 and it worked so it must work with Win7. It must be summat to do with your Win7 setup.. If I can get time, I'll add some more error catching code and email you a test version that may be able to give me more i...

Re: Online Play Next Gen
VP4 gets around all this by having a dedicated server to run the game. Basically the same setup like the online shooters. This gets around most connectivity issues, the only one left is closed ports which typically does not occur except in some corporate situations. So does this mean that VP4 will ...
