If that was the case no competitive sports would exist in the world and no one would play tennis unless Federer quit.

Fair enough though, if thats what people think, but it would be good.

I say bring him back purely because he has been banned long enough and everyone deserves a second chance.

Tournament Idea

How about everyone paying £10 to enter the worlds. 64 entrants at makes a prize pool of around £640 so a nice little prize for the winner. Payouts maybe from the last 16... £200 Winner x 1 £120 Runner-up x 1 £50 Semi Finalist x 2 £25 Quarter Finalist x 4 £15 Last 16 x 8 Considering the worlds takes ...

VP3 Noticed by the Pros At Last!

http://www.pro9.co.uk/html/viewtopic.php?forum=3&topic=1828&start=0 Everyone knows I play in real life. Pro9.co.uk is where Daryl Peach the world champ, Darren Appleton, Mick Hill and so on use. The top players in the UK and europe use this site. Maybe we will get an influx of pros playing. ...

There are some players - polo, Alb, Alin, Stub, Sharkey, lobster, glen that you can name as maybe a cut above anyone else (Apologies to anyone not mentioned in that league)

It would be great if all these players could play each week in the 9 tournaments.

WP Albinario, right up there with the best.

Polo showed his class, definately not a surprise he was there and could have won it.

But the praise must go to Alb, awesome mate well done.

I'm glad the family passed on to these forums that he has gone so we can all say how popular he was in the lobby. I hope his family read this and take some peace from it.

I played him in the WC's and he was a credit to vp3 win or lose.

I'm sorry I won't get to play him again. Nice guy.

After the first 6 racks usually.

No, honestly, even when I'm 6 down in a race to 7 I try and make the best of it. People do protect their rating even though its almost meaningless.

I want to hear more from VP3 Gold, although this looks to have been shelved indefinately. Shame.

Echoeing Alinville, any news from Steve would be welcome.

I had an incident where someone just kept passing shots he did not like! It was frustrating and he simply wanted you to disconnect and collect the points! For some reason, as they are basically meaningless. I generally play race to 7's and find that regularly someone leaves when I'm up 6-0 or someth...

I appreciate what you are saying, however there are many good players who would come out of the woodwork to play money games. I would prefer tournaments where you win prize money, rather than money matches.

It would be fun to make a living from vp3!!

I don't see a massive difference but they are definately bouncier. I agree that I preferred the 3235 cushion set-up.

If you buy the game you will automatically be at the 3235 patch. But you can download that patch then go back to 3225, as soon as the patch is authorised, it will be easy to go back to 3235.

Thanks.

Playing 9 Ball Again

I used to practise with Rocket in real life. A good player. We had a few good battles. We played one day about 6 hours and I won 9-7, 8-9, 9-4 and 9-3. Awesome days pool.

Hopefully he will post his memories of that day here too!!

Suggestions for Upgrade

Hopefully there will be upgrades in the future, and maybe this can even be included in the next patch. * Alternate break format option for all tournaments that normally are only winner breaks. * Slightly more difficult AI comp opponents. This is definately not going to happen but...... * More Red sp...

Version 3225 vs 3099

Sorry but I only recently got the new version from celeris.com having previously played the J Lee version for years. The main difference in the new version is the quality of offline AI opponents. They are not as good. I love matchplay, I thrive on it, in real life and on the comp. Playing against th...

He was always happy to talk to M's mates on the phone, chatting for ages. A very approachable and friend...
