You say you downloaded the patch.
I suppose you have installed it too (doubleclick it) and didn't get any error messages.

To play online on GS, follow these steps:
http://www.vp3help.com/online.php

Turn off your virus detection and firewall and any programs you may have running in background.

If that doesn't work, re-download the game and try again.

If that doesn't work, send an email to support@celeris.com with your system specs and a screenshot of the error message.

It only works with one PC per serial.

You can transfer it twice a year to a different PC, but the original won't work anymore then.

The only way for you to use the recent patches is to upgrade to VP3DL.

Can you play offline with 3237?

If yes, it is most probably a firewall/router issue.

If not, please try re-installing your video drivers.

Try different screen resolutions.
Check what resolution you use in Windows on that laptop and set VP3 to the same one.
VP3DL has wide screen support, the old VP3 doesn't have it.

You can always set the video settings to desktop mode. It's not that nice to look at, but works usually.
