Re: New mouse settings are great! Real life speed control!

Although my mouse ( a Logitech G5 ) does not have such thing as velocity, I am still very happy with the new mouse driver.
I kept the setting as they were and it feels like very good control.
In VP4 I have the following settings: Shooting= 60, Rotation = 50, rotate slew = 50

Keeping settings when uninstalling..

I got the advice from Steve to uninstall VP4 and reinstalling the complete VP4 V 4.1.1.1 from the celeris site. Problem is when I do that, I will loose my settings and save-games. In the mean time I already found the profile settings with the save games at Local settings\application data\Virtual Poo...

Should this also work under Ubuntu?
Looks like a hell of a job to get it done, if you have only general knowledge of Linux.

Re: Pivot vs Rest

Even with pivot it is hard to pot balls in snooker using English. In pool it is a lot easier.

Re: Deflection bug?

The shaft i use in VP4 is like a predator shaft. When when you apply left spin, the cue ball should always go right side a little bit. Here this is reversed. Left goes left and right goes right. Okay, but I wonder how it works... How can a certain shaft make the ball traveling with lesser deflection?

Re: Deflection bug?

Maybe a bit off topic but the instructor in the movie in that post of the topic-starter is talking about a Preditor 314 shaft that takes away deflection.
Never thought that a shaft can make such a difference. How did they do that? :-k

Re: Foul and miss error in VP4 Snooker

Yesterday I lost a frame of snooker on a wrong interpretation of the rules. With only 1 red on the table I was snookered on that red. It was a difficult snooker, needing two cushions to hit it and I failed. After failing to hit the red three times I lost my frame because I missed a red three times i...

Stuttering FPS

I have VP4 since the first day and things worked well until today. Now the game doesn't run smooth anymore since I entered the 'deep pocket' room. I am not sure if that has anything to do with it though. The game stutters a lot, especially when the balls run and I change the cameraview ( by pressing...

Re: Changing cloth colours gives two different greens

I think picture 1 is the one from after the patch and the second one from a not patched VP4
In the second patch the colors have been made darker if I remember correctly...
That makes the first one the correct one.

Re: Vp4 vs. Vp3---what are you going to do/play?

I will play both. Problem is that a friend of me want to play snooker, but not in long frames. Solution, we play snooker each other on a pool-table. That makes it real fast frames! As Steve has made clear that this option will not be in a future patch for VP4, I will keep playing VP3 as long as my f...

Re: Mouse sensitivity settings

It's just what 9balldotcom said: It depends on the mouse you have. I have the Logitech G5 mouse , which comes with their own configuration tool called 'Setpoint' There you can make your own setting for every chosen application. So I added Vpool 4 to the list and tweaked the setting used for VP4 only...
