Re: Virtual Pool Mobile for Android smartphones
Don't panic. Android is kicking Apple ass in 2010 and the trend will continue, so Celeris would be foolish to ignore Android on that basis as it'll have a large market share.

Re: Windows 7 support for VP3
Fair enough - the second installation idea is just to allow you to have another way of identifying where the issue is without pulling apart your current install. If you don't want to do it, that's totally your call. But it would have been interesting to see whether VP3 would have run on a clean inst...

Re: Windows 7 support for VP3
Dual booting via a second partition on your HDD will not duplicate anything on your current W7 installation. You'll just get two versions to choose from (as long as boot.ini is updated) on booting the machine. But I FULLY understand your caution if you've not done this before - creating partitions i...

Re: Windows 7 support for VP3
Hi, I too am a software engineer/developer of 25 years vintage and one thing I have learned over many years is always diagnose every component/scenario when resolving a software issue and don't allow the fact it's a major pain in the ass to do so to get in the way. Granted, if I were in your positio...

Re: Windows 7 support for VP3
Hi, I'd agree - and maintain my original position - that it's an audio issue. The hangs on the menu seal it for me as there's audio on selecting an option. It could be anywhere within the audio infrastructure which makes it difficult to hunt it down. Uninstall all audio devices in Device Manager, re...

Alex Higgins RIP
Hi, The flawed maverick that was ex-World Snooker Champion Alex Higgins died today, sadly only accumulating a break of 61 in terms of his age. For those non-snooker players/watchers, the following video shows him at his extravagant best: http://noolmusic.com/videos/snooker_-_alex_higgins_69_break_19...

Re: Windows 7 support for VP3
Hi, Interestingly. I've got Windows 7 64-bit and VP3 DL has never had an issue. My laptop has an ATI card/chipset. I note one of the event log entries mentioned an audio component (AudioClientRPC) - thought that was interesting (although I confess to limited knowledge of these logs). I personally do...

Re: Win Vista Graphics Problem
Have you tried going in to the Catalyst Control Center (right-click on desktop) and tweaking a few things and seeing if they have an effect? Also, go to Start, then Run and type in 'dxdiag' (without the quotes) and see if all's well in there...

Re: Win Vista Graphics Problem
You could try using the latest desktop drivers for your Mobility card using Mobility Modder ( http://dh-mobility-modder.en.softonic.com ). As ATI do not support Mobility cards (they leave it to the laptop manufacturers), this is often the only way to update laptop drivers if your laptop's manufactur...

Re: Offline play with no intro.
Nice one! Took all of 10 seconds to amend. Anyone having issues remember the space between the "-" and the "nointro" as it is necessary otherwise it'll have no effect. Talking of space, anyone who can't figure it out (surely there can't be many, unless George Dubya plays), hit th...

Re: VP4 Just how next gen do celeris think it will be.?
I agree on the graphics re Hustle Kings and also the lightweight feel of the VP3 balls (especially given the notable heavy feel American pool has over its UK counterpart). VP3 is like having UK balls on a US table. One thing that really concerns me about VP4 is the lack of visibility outside of VP3 ...
