Re: New Update 2.01
The ipod4 is not caused by your 2.01 version, it is caused by the player you are online with that has a 1.99 version.zwylle wrote:I played ipod4 yesterday night some time between 9 pm and 11 pm PST (can't remember exactly, as I played another player as well), using 2.01

Re: New Update 2.01
Chat support was completely removed in the last few versions? Not that anyone used it... besides, did it ever really work? The chat implementation was so poor it was not worth having it in there. We will support it properly in the future. No more "Player X wins" screen in multiplayer game...

We are working on Android. Very difficult platform to work with. We do have VP running on it but who knows how long to get around all the device compatibility problems.
Re: Problems
We are working on these issues and will have an update this week.

Re: NEW CELERIS SITE UP AND RUNNING
I think it looks better!
This is temporary until the VP4 online site is up and running. All the Virtual Pool product information and sales will move onto the same site as VP4 Online. The corporate site will be pretty sparse.

Re: Virtual Pool Mobile for Android smartphones
Am I being optimistic in hoping for a Bada version too? Allegedly, it's quite straight-forward to port apps to Bada, it being based on C++ and all. Yeah, way too optimistic. Cost of porting is not cheap and every platform is looked at as far as ROI. Until Bada sells significant units, nothing will ...

Re: Couple of Questions fron New User
1) What files should I copy to back up my statistics and career in case I have to reinstall? I found the Program Files/Celeris/Virtual Pool 3 DL/vpc data which has some new files that look like the ones. Is that it? Any others? Using Vista Home Premium. Back up what is in vpc data. I would also bac...

Sounds like you have the program comparability set to something really old like Windows 95, try setting to Windows XP SP2.

Re: VP3 on Linux Ubuntu
Wine should run VP3, it uses very old D3D graphics API so it should work. Of course with Wine/Linux nothing is guaranteed. I would love to do a Linux version of VP4 though that is probably last in line. Mac would come before Linux, though the Mac port should make the Linux port much easier. I did ha...

Re: Maybe the ultimate VP mouse
Actually it is the other way around. Pros or anybody else playing real pool with an expensive cue are paying for looks, name, not functionality. A good one piece house cue like a Dufferin can play as good or better as a $5K cue.
At least with the expensive mouse you gain capability.

Re: Windows 7 support for VP3
I don't blame you for not wanting dual boot, pain in the ass just for VP3. I'm hoping the other sound chip does the trick. I'm sure this has something to do with the installation or the drivers. I'm saying this because most people can run on W7 and the people that had problems were almost all driver...

Re: Windows 7 support for VP3
I think the uninstall/re-install is worth trying. Sounds dumb but this is Windows and that is known to correct problems sometimes.
