Re: Remote Connection Lost
There are some bugs in Game Center, waiting for Apple to resolve them. Apple does not communicate much with developers, so just have to wait until they correct it.

Re: sound problems
I'm not sure what is going on, you are the only one reporting this issue.
Here are some guesses of things you can try:
Remove any 3rd party codec packs such as K-Lite
If your sound card is next to your video card, move it.

If you are getting a "Can't Initialize 3D hardware..." error, then that would be the case.Olivsulan wrote:My Geforce FX 5500 supports DirectX 9.0a. The game requires a 9.0c compatible card. I guess that's the reason VP4 refuses to run...

Re: VP4 - English Billiards rules
If you could provide more detail on the incorrect spot it would help. How exactly it occurred.
You say the throw is too strong, at what speed, it changes with speed. The setup for EB is fairly low throw, the balls are pretty clean. Is it common to play EB with very clean polished balls?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDSF9qakPr8&hd=1 If your viewing angle is lower than the butt angle and you press left mouse button to zoom in/out, camera instantly goes as with 'Chin on cue' On. Ha, good one. There were so, so many issues like this, probably fixed 30 of them. Not surprised that...

Re: VP4 don't work~~
This looks like an issue with a codec. Unfortunately on Windows other things external to VP4 can cause problems. We have had users that had to uninstall K-Lite codec pack. Try uninstalling that or any other codec pack you have installed.

Re: Annoying problem or bug in VP4 (+POSSIBLE SOLUTION)
From what I can tell there is a bug in Online Armor causing a Windows function we are calling to fail.
I have put in a hack to get around this, it will be in the next update. Until then, keep doing what you are doing to get VP4 running.

We can look at the pass back, may be too lax.
Any time you don't hit the ball on it is a miss, does not matter if it is a red or colour. Only thing that matters is skill level and snookers.

Re: Loss of audio on slower collisions
Not a bug, by design. There is a collision speed limit below which no sound will be made. We can lower the limit some probably, but it needs to be in there, can't remove it.

Re: Annoying problem or bug in VP4 (+POSSIBLE SOLUTION)
That is a completely different issue, not an AV issue at all.
I take it your computer has a desktop that is 1280x720? If not, what is the resolution.
The update was modified to allow 1280x720 full screen, but it did not change the desktop requirement. That may be an issue we need to address.

I think this issue is that for some reason it things VP4 is a virus containing exe. Can you look in the logs and see what is says. If it is stopping VP4 from running, there will be log entreis that say that and why.

We will have to do some tuning. What I need though is a set of reference shots. This is one, but that is not enough.

Re: Annoying problem or bug in VP4 (+POSSIBLE SOLUTION)
You can control the rate of the camera movement for reorientations, Settings/Camera/Cam. Speed. I like it around 75, lower is smoother, higher is faster. If you are referring to the Auto Zoom movement when you take a shot, that is not controlled by the Cam. Speed setting. It necessarily moves fast e...

Re: Annoying problem or bug in VP4 (+POSSIBLE SOLUTION)
If you are not maintaining the frame rate with vsync on the rate varies between vsyncs producing unevenness in the display, or as you call it jerky balls. You have 2 choices to correct: 1) Turn off vsync. This will work but you will get some tearing 2) Run less graphics load. The main things that ar...

FIxed this, we did it for Straight Pool, for some reason Snooker was not done. Now the rookie players only miss the rack infrequently, about like you when your sober.

Re: VP4 Pub World rules error
The only reason the player has to ask the referee to call it is this is a subjective matter that takes close examination. The referee can't look at a situation every time it might come up, that is disruptive to play. That is why in RL, the player must ask. VP4 does not have that issue, the computer ...
