Re: 500 point limit in straight pool?
I watched Willie Mosconi on youtube, he said his record was 526 and he quit because he was too tired to continue. Why didn't he continue the next day? Maybe 10000 runs are possible. He used to do many 150 and out in tournament. The players of today are much better. I played against someone in pool r...

Re: 500 point limit in straight pool?
Another nail in the coffin..."nice try but no cigar". Should I go on or is there something more to complain about? Maybe 3rd match I do the 249 run. It is hard to do high runs on demand, especially with the huge pockets in tournament, my skill dramatically reduced after an hour with big po...

Re: 500 point limit in straight pool?
Here is another proof, undo disabled in tournaments. Here I did 63 run, then missed, then made 186 and out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqsLN74uJHc&feature=share&list=PL5fg1W4HRLNDz39Wg1tBUEOlMukTjne-J I discovered that you can go to minus 99 with computer opponent, he will just keep pass...

If I use tracking lines, I make it extreme, like this, rotation straight on snooker table with inch position: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbMYMFGB ... 0AE21AD402

Re: 500 point limit in straight pool?
I noticed in Patricks reply he mentioned that tracking lines werent used, however he never mentioned if he used the "U" key. For the hell of it I tried it and guess what. you guessed it you can run as many balls as you like if you keep using the "U" key as Larry mentioned. Good ...

Re: 500 point limit in straight pool?
600 run is nothing in Virtual Pool. All real life pro players are capable of running 1000+ no problem in Virtual Pool if they start playing it. The 500 limit is something that puts them off, it's not good. From what I have seen in real life, pros' high runs come to an end from a kick, but in VP4 the...

Re: 500 point limit in straight pool?
In quick play the undo is also disabled if you play with AI or another human opponent (and get the limit of 600)... Just because there might be a change that the video is faked it doesnt mean it 100% sure is. gl. Quick play with computer opponent can have tracking lines enabled, so that won't do it...

Tracking lines were disabled. This can be seen by opening up the Save Game file. http://www.coconut-audio.com/images/other/vp4/598.vpg
Here is the position at 598.

Re: 500 point limit in straight pool?
If you want to make a 600 run, and the limit is 599, you need to make two balls in the same shot at 598?

Re: 500 point limit in straight pool?
I found a bug. When you reach minus -99, it will stay at -99 won't go to -100. When you foul 3 times in a row, the game crashes.

Re: Anyone beaten Pro Tour Career yet?
I finished National Tour now. I was expecting it would be harder than this, I was just slopping and hoping the 9 would go in. There is no point in making safeties against the computer, they jump everything.

Anyone beaten Pro Tour Career yet?
I started yesterday, I completed Local and Regional tours in two days. I feel brainwashed shooting almost 6000 balls. When I close my eyes, I see balls.

Changing name or backing up Pro Tour Career?
I wrote something random in the name because I wanted to test something, then I completed the first tournament. Now I'm stuck with that name, how do I change it? Start over?
How do I back up the career if I want to re-install the computer or change computer? I couldn't find any save files anywhere.

Re: Annoying problem or bug in VP4 (+POSSIBLE SOLUTION)
I found a solution to my delay problem! Turning on FRAPS recording at 60 fps solved my problem. Very strange. Everything is smooth and stable at 60 fps.

Re: Annoying problem or bug in VP4 (+POSSIBLE SOLUTION)
Still getting delay with the patch. With vsync on, lowest resolution, and lowest graphics settings. The delay is visible in replay now, it wasn't before.

Re: Annoying problem or bug in VP4 (+POSSIBLE SOLUTION)
Setting fps limit to max (200) made it smoother, but there is still micro stuttering when the balls roll. I need vsync to fix this, but with vsync it feels laggy, when moving the mouse it looks smooth but there is a delay. When shooting the balls there is a delay but everything is smoothened out. Wi...

Re: Annoying problem or bug in VP4 (+POSSIBLE SOLUTION)
I installed the patch, the hit was fixed but the balls roll very jerky with vsync off. Then I enabled vsync and the delay is back, but instead of the ball disappearing, it shows the delay smoothly, and then the cueball suddenly accelerates.

Re: Annoying problem or bug in VP4 (+POSSIBLE SOLUTION)
And so it all comes into this (maybe): This is something that makes me think that the shot lag is happening on the moment when you are hitting the cueball with your cue at the first time; maybe at the moment when the cue hits the cueball the game engine does some heavy duty burst calculation of how...

500 point limit in straight pool?
VP3 has 250 limit and VP4 500, so little better. But what if you want to break Willie Mosconi's 526 run? Is there a text file in VP4 that can be modified?
