Re: Does anyone know the solution to the flickering VP4 issue

Never seen this before.
What is your video card?
Have you installed the latest drivers?
Have you tried changing VP4 graphics settings, for example turn vertical sync on and see if that changes anything?

Re: VP4 bug - ball hit off table (through the pocket)

It hasn't happened to me. But what does the game do? Score a pot, or say you have just hit the ball off the table? The bug is the game declaring a ball hit off table foul, although the ball was correctly (and usually with average speed) pocketed. Depending on your view point you can see the ball fa...

Re: How to play English Billiards

I'm working with a pool trainer recently and he is teaching an aiming technique where any shot angle is an adjustion to some standard angles. If you use this technique for a while, you start recognizing the standard angles (and angles between) without spending a lot of time walking around the table....

Re: VP4 bug - ball hit off table (through the pocket)

Has anyone else experienced the ball falling through pocket bug in the current release with anything other than Snooker at Hard Times and the ball falling through side pocket?
Save games or screenshots would be helpful.

Re: Minor camera glitch with 'Chin on cue' Off

By the time vp4 goes online we will be back to under aiming cue draw back of 15 feet and snooker table back to like vp3 if Alinville and some others get their way k. ..Balls will look like VP3 balls and COs will be all playing like numpties so anyone can beat good luck mode. I'd suggest to keep GS ...

Does that mean when you played hard times room was hard times and table was hard times. Default with Novice settings?

It's just a reminder that you should practice shooting with Chin on Cue on for online, when it's mandatory :bootyshake:

That's strange.
Was it in Quick Play, Hustler or Pro Career?
Do you remember the table settings?

Sounds like that's the same as this one: http://www.celeris.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2343
I assume it happened at Hard Times?

Re: Pesky Cue Shop Owner

In VP4 there are different cues for pool and snooker/pub.
Only for pool cues you can get different shafts.
Unfortunately there are not many Snooker cues to choose from.
Looks like you have already maxed it out.

The shop owner is a little annoyance and fixing that is on Celeris' to do list.

Looks like that's a bug in Call Money. In 10 ball it works as expected.

Re: 9ball call the 9ball

...but surely even if id called the right pocket and shot the wrong pocket( and visa versa) it would at the very least have been a foul and BIH to the ai player... Unfortunately the Help File doesn't clearly state the rule. In US 8 ball pocketing the money ball into the wrong pocket is usually loss...

Re: VP4 bug - ball hit off table (through the pocket)

I believe this is specific to side pocket(s) at Hard Times.
It happened before in Blackball and 9 Ball too.
Thought this was fixed.
The file will help. Thanks!

Re: 9ball call the 9ball

Coudn't re-create this one so far.
Can you re-create is or did it happen just once and never again?
Are you sure you called the correct pocket?

I assume you mean the call money rule.
Do you remember using any other custom rule options at the time?

Re: Carom!?!?

All of the above. This is from the glossary in the VP4 Help file: Carom Shot 1) A shot in billiards in which the cue ball strikes each of two object balls. 2) A shot in pool in which an object ball is strikes another object ball before falling into a pocket. Billiards Shot A shot where the cue ball ...

Re: Where's my backstroke?

Aah thx! The patch helped, way better now. Deflection - you hit the cueball with english and it changes it's path. Seems a bit too much in this version but maybe it's just me and I only played the tournament table settings yet. Mat Ah ok, ping pong confused me :-) There are some low deflection cue ...

Pretty sure they'll change something. My point was just that it may not as bad.
I'm looking forward to it too. Curious what the difference will be.

Have you installed the patch?
If not, it should fix your backstroke issue.
Hit Check for Update in Main Menu.

Not sure what you mean when you say deflection.
