Re: VP4 - cuetip no longer autocentered
By any chance: Do you use 'Standard Distance' for Aiming in 'Settings -> Camera'? When I use this setting, play vs CO and they get the Snooker break the issue occurs on the first shot after their break. Their break shot english is applied to my first shot. Same when I apply english during the game, ...

Re: Random crashes on startup
There's a public beta test for 4112, that addresses crashes occuring with 4111. The test is a full version and requires and uninstall/reinstall of VP4. There is no guarantee it will work but if 4111 is unplayable for you, you may want to give it a try. This is what is fixed: Crash for Quick Play Cra...

That's probably the case. Unfortunately it still seems random and for some it doesn't happen at all.

Re: Random crashes on startup
There will be an update shortly that hopefully fixes the issues.
In the meantime it may be better if you go back to the previous version:

Re: VP4 - cuetip no longer autocentered
I will not join Facebook just to report this. I hope other players make them aware of the issue. Thankfully it is no show stopper. BTW, why is here no dedicated VP4 forum? Not a blog, not a FB site - a simple VP4 forum? You can use this forum for VP4, eventually it will get a VP4 section. Celeris j...

Re: VP4 - cuetip no longer autocentered
I believe there is a bug introduced with this version. Some people reported left or right English being applied to their shot when a CO was shooting before. Haven't seen it happen to me though. Someone said it was always after a CO Snooker break shot, couldn't confirm that so far. It's probably in s...

Re: Virtual Pool 4 DRM
Yes, there are software companies with different licensing strategy. They all do what they think is right for them. If you don't like that VP4 offline is tied to a PC, and it's a huge issue for you, just don't buy it. I believe VP4 online licenses will be tied to users and I'm pretty sure some folks...

It's recommended to uninstall 4105 and download and install the full version:

You will keep your settings and profiles.

Re: Virtual Pool 4 DRM
OK, let me rephrase: It's common practice to sell one license per PC. Windows, Office, Photoshop, Tiger Woods.. Just because they let you install it twice at first, doesn't mean it's legal. Maybe Celeris can't afford to employ the army or lawyers Microsoft, Adobe or even EA Sports can, so they need ...

You can find velocity settings when you go to Mouse in Settings and click on the Show Advanced Settings button.

Re: Virtual Pool 4 DRM
Yes, you can not have the game installed on 2 computers at the same time with one license only.
That's common software practice.
The chance of Celeris changing that is about zero.
Good luck finding any pool game/sim even close as good when you move on.

Re: Version 4.1.1.1
It probably only occurs with chin on cue on, but there must be additional settings.
I can see a light movement when moving around slowly but nothing as bad as in the video.
It would be very nice if you could share your settings.

Re: Version 4.1.1.1
What are your settings in the Camera section when you get this bug in the video?
Does it always happen?
I've had something like this happen before and thought it might be fixed, cause I wasn't able to reproduce although I had saved the shot.

Re: Keeping settings when uninstalling..
Uninstalling 4105 or later versions of VP and re-installing them will not result in losing your settings.
You will lose your mouse settings when installing 4111 but that's no matter if you uninstall or just apply the patch.

VP4 pivot is actually helping my game IRL.sharkey9 wrote: Will still make your real game
My RL pool trainer teaches an aiming method based on pivot.
Pretty cool, because his aiming method works in VP4 just as he explains it IRL.
Now all I gotta do is shoot a million balls

Oh my bad. I must have read in 'another post' that you called it a cheat and missed that you were only 'almost' calling it a cheat in this one.
No worries.. just winding you up.

Re: Pivot vs Rest
It is a huge advantage. In another post I even called it a cheat - because you almost can't go wrong. Just aim and add any english you like, make sure it won't swerve and your shot will most likely go in. Even if you add english by accident, pivot saves you the pot. Try the following: - Switch to p...

Re: Deflection bug?
I may be wrong, but to me it looks like the guy in the video is using parallel english and you are using pivot english. Pivot compensates for deflection. If you go to trickshot mode and set up his exact shot, then while aiming switch between the english methods (in Settings -> Camera) you can see th...
