Good old "Curly at the Beach House!"
Why isn't it called Jam Up Virtual Pool Arcade ?

Sadly, it doesn't ship to Germany :-P

Re: Snooker line-up drill savegame for download

Could you please post a link to those files Fluke? Your old link is dead and only the practice mode version is available, without re-spotting colors.
Offline + Online if you can ...

Thanks !

Suggestion for Practice Mode

Hi, I have a suggestion for improving the learning effects of practice mode. I will make a few pictures later, but I don't have VP4 here at the moment. Assume you'e missing a certain kind of shot more often than others during match play. Or you constantly screw up position play on some cue ball/obje...

Restricted view cheat

Hi there, it's been a while since I last complained about something. But that's very rarely happening to me, which stresses what a great game VP4 turned out to be. I love the fact that restricted view is mandatory in VP4. No more slow rolling shots with high butt angle, overlaying the balls while ai...

Re: VP4: Invalid Serial Number

The problem is no longer there. Cleaned all registry entries I could find regarding "Celeris", "VP3/4", and then I could transfer a key.

VP4: Invalid Serial Number

Hi, I don't know what's wrong all of a sudden, but I can't start VP4 anymore. Was away a couple of weeks for a trip. During that time, I bought a second VP4 serial number, and installed it on my laptop (but it's crap and won't play smoothly). Now I come home (only for 3 days!) and would like to play...

Re: VP4 - cuetip no longer autocentered

I don't believe there is any randomness on the tip at the moment, we have played with that in the past. But the tip will move up for the rails and balls. What exactly have you played with? Very small random tip displacements (half a tip at max), or more? What were the reasons not to use these? I st...

Mouse calibration

First of all, well done with the mouse handler. It feels much better now, controlling both slow and fast shots. However, it wouldn't be me if I didn't have something to complain about. So here goes: The auto-calibration in the beginning sort of surprised me, and even more that my previous stored mou...

Re: 500 point limit in straight pool?

Way to go Patrick, genius at work! Can you record some rotation or 8ball first person racks? Would love to see you get obstacles out of the way, play safeties (and try to get out of them), etc.
Keep it up, best instructional videos I can think of, just watching you play.

Re: Pivot vs Rest

It is a huge advantage. In another post I even called it a cheat - because you almost can't go wrong. Just aim and add any english you like, make sure it won't swerve and your shot will most likely go in. Even if you add english by accident, pivot saves you the pot. Try the following: - Switch to p...

Re: 1 Bug and 1 Complaint

I see a problem with such a 'center tip' shortcut. The thing is, when you are close to the rail or a ball, you could then aim with the cue as low as possible (therefore getting the 'best' cueball / object ball overlay ), and then simply hit the 'center tip position' key and be assured the ball will ...

Re: 500 point limit in straight pool?

Racks seem to change every time, while cue and break ball don't. This might be a bug in the recording or something. I'm not 100% percent sure this 600 run is real (anyone remember Apollon's 147 snooker break screenshot? lol). But he's capable of making such a run in VP, no doubt. Just record it with...

Does this mean you're thinking about adding this as a features, or are you just bragging about your coding skills*? :-"

Pivot vs Rest

Hi there, I was not a fan of pivot aiming when I first read about it on FB, and I'm not a fan now. Having said that, apart from it being very unfamiliar in the beginning, it can't be ignored that aiming with medium to heavy use of side english, at least when the cue is roughly parallel to the table,...

Re: Where's my backstroke?

Hi there, in the current stroke implementation, when moving the mouse behind the backstroke limit, its position is not updated internally in VP4. But when moving the mouse forwards again, mouse tracking is started immediately. This results in striking the cueball at an earlier position on the mouse ...

That's really weird.
Doesn't sound like it's something to do with gsa though (as crap as it may be) because it doesn't know when the fixtures will be drawn etc.

Does anybody else have this problem? Do we have a hacker?

Yes, it would really be nice to be able to edit stuff like table and ball textures.
Not that I have any idea about such things, but Diddly and the rest would surely produce some nice new flavors for the rest of us, and waiting on gold wouldn't seem so long.

It doesn't make any sense to c...

The problem with Honolulu might be the fact that you have to call shots all the time, people (me at least) might not want to play it in long races.

Re: Thanks!

I really don't see any difference in the version I had and the new one. Don't you really? Number of games, accuracy of physics, career mode, online gaming, number of opponents, of tables? You don't see any difference? They even implemented a new noise-reducing method when you play: the cd doesn't t...
